Overview
Udio is Suno's main competitor for AI music generation. It produces full songs with vocals and instruments from text prompts, with a different quality profile that often outperforms Suno on classical, jazz, and experimental genres. A very generous free tier makes it easy to compare both before committing.

💡 Personal Tips
My workflow is to generate the same prompt in both Suno and Udio and pick the better result — they differ enough that the winner changes by genre. Udio's free tier of 1200 credits per month is extremely generous. For instrumental background music without vocals, Udio often produces more sophisticated, richer arrangements. The Remix feature for adapting an existing song style is underused and often produces excellent results.
